If you want deeper work and can tolerate more pressure to get relief from chronic muscle pain, it's better to book a deep tissue massage.

Deep tissue massage is a type of massage therapy that focuses on realigning the deeper layers of the muscles and connective tissues.

It is especially helpful for chronic aches and pains and contracted areas such as a stiff neck and upper back, lower back pain, leg muscle tightness, and sore shoulders.



If it is your first time at the spa, or you do not get massages often, a Swedish massage is the best place to start. The therapist lubricates the skin with massage oil and performs various massage strokes.

These movements warm up the muscle tissue, releasing tension and gradually breaking up muscle "knots" or adhered tissues, called adhesions. Swedish massages promote relaxation, among other health benefits.
